
Step 1. First purchase your official Buffy the Vampire foam latex appliance from Josie O'Kain costume Shop. They come in three styles, Angel Spike and Dru. This one is Spike.

Now back to the demo.....

Step 2. Rip out the eyes and the edges of the mask. Do not cut. The ripped edge shoud be paper thin and help it blend into your own face.

Step 3. The face should look like this before you begin to attach it to your face

Step 4. Starting at the bridge if the nose apply Spirit Gum to either the face or the mask. Apply by brushing it on then tapping the Spirit gum until it becomes thick and tacky.
Repeat until the entire mask is attached. Feel free to pull up edges to make sure they are down completely.

Step 5. Vampire face completely attached to the face

Step 6. Castor Seal Using a sponge apply castor seal to the face and mask. this will protect the mask from the makeup and help blend the mask into your own face.

Step 7. Make up Using a base color similar to your own skin tone take a sponge and apply the make up using a dabbing motion. Cover the entire face, mask, neck, ears, and other showing flesh to help blend the face.
Be sure to powder afterword or use a sealing spray.

Step 8. After base color makeup. If still problems with edges you can use liquid latex to blend them. Apply with sponge.

Step 9. Highlights/Shadows Using a dark color, and a ripped sponge apply shadows to eyes, temples and cheekbones to add depth and character. Using a brush add color and detail to grooves in the face.
Add hightlights to bridge of nose, and tips of ridges and cheekbones.

Step 10. Finishing Touches Female Characters can also add lipstick and eye shadow and other street makeup over the mask.
Other ideas include, scars, tatoos, fangs, and blood. Take this point to be creative and have fun!

Step 1. First get a bald cap. (ordering info below). Next put the bald cap on you'r head with out any addhesive or make up. This is to see where the cap lays.

Step 2. Take a Creme Pencil or any other way of marking the bald cap and draw out places for ears or any other places where there would be too much latex.
Cut this area out, while still on the head to make sure not too much is trimmed off.
NOTE: For the blue man group, you can skip this step. They put the cap on over their ears.

Step 3. Using Spirit Gum start to attach the bald cap to the head starting in the middle of the forehead. Brush the Spirit Gum on the skin, then tap the spirit gum with a finger or end of a brush until it becomes thick and tackey to make sure the bald cap stays. Then press the cap down on the part of the head.
Repeat the procedure all the way around the head, keeping all the hair under neath and the cap pulled tight eliminating wrinkles.

Step 4. Eyebrows Etch eyebrows with Black Pencil or Cake Eyeliner Line beneath lower eyelashes.
